Backyard Soaps & More began as a hobby in the kitchen of Kelly Agostinelli in 2001. She made red, strawberry scented heart soaps for a friend's bridal shower and they were a big hit! The hobby quickly morphed into a family business with an all women crew and has grown from there. We have experienced phenomenal growth over the last 8 years, all the while working with the mantra Fun Never Smelled So Good! In July 2008 Nancy Brown joined the team, and now Nancy and Kelly are partnering to make Backyard Soaps & More even better.

In addition to handcrafted glycerin soap, we make bath products such as lotion, body wash, bubble bath, liquid hand soap, as well as some incredible treatment products – our famous sugar scrub, solid lotion bar, goat’s milk & honey body butter, foot fix, and more! We have also started manufacturing handmade mosaic candle pillars, using custom blended ingredients, with a magnitude of sensational scents and colorants.  Our fanciful candle line adds to the cheerful array of bodycare products. 

You might wonder about the history of our name – “Backyard Soaps” is a celebration of tradition and days gone by – many years ago - soap was made in the “backyard”. We’ve outgrown our backyard, our garages, and our first warehouse. We are located in historical downtown Port Huron at 331 Huron Ave. Our location houses our soap factory and a retail shoppe. A fan pumps the delicious fragrances out to the sidewalk. You can smell our delectable soaps and candles down the block before you even arrive at our front door.  Today we are sold in multiple states across the country in various gift shops, boutiques, garden centers, spas and salons.
